A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol

You may think it is too early to go and see a Christmas film but to be fair the Coca-Cola adverts have begun and I just really wanted to see it. I wasn’t disappointed, this is definitely the Christmas film to see.

This story, the most filmed of Dickens’s novels, achieved fairy-tale status long ago. Who has not heard of Scrooge? As it has stood the test of time it would be hard for this to go wrong, and to be fair they stuck to the story line more than I expected. If I had to criticise it, I was a little disappointed by the very small amount of attention paid to Tiny Tim, who essentially only has the one line in this film.

The cast list includes two personal favourites, Jim Carey, who is the voice of four different characters and Colin Firth. But what really makes this film is the stunning animations. They are without a doubt the most realistic I have seen, it’s spectacular to watch. This film cannot fail to get you in the Christmas spirit.

You can see a trailer for the film here.
